The Shop-Vac 10-gallon 1.7 HP wet/dry vacuum with internal float shut-off picks up non-combustible materials such as dirt and debris, nails, metal and wood chips, and liquids. Equipped with a durable stainless steel tank and an industrial 1.7 HP (peak) two-stage bypass motor, this vacuum provides powerful suction with quiet operation. A unique internal float automatically shuts off suction when liquid capacity is reached, eliminating any risk of overflow. The vacuum has a dry capacity of 10 gallons and a 9-gallon wet capacity. It comes with a 1-year warranty.

Light Duty Unit Only - Chuck W. -
When my old Sears vac died, I decided to try the Shop-Vac 610 - it looked strong and the stainless steel tank looked like it would last forever.
One thing I neglected to check on was POWER. This machine is light duty, and I should have known the small hose size was indicative of its capability - it is not nearly as powerful as the old, noisy Sears unit.
If anyone will make me an offer for this unit, I would like to upgrade to something that really performs like a shop vac should.
